'Women's cycling interests' board has only 27 threads - have previous threads been accidentally deleted?

Post by slowster »

A new poster has posted asking for advice (viewtopic.php?f=16&t=149091), and I was going to suggest she do a search of previous threads on bike fitting for women, but on checking the Women's cycling interests board I see it has only 27 threads, starting in July 2020. Have previous threads been inadvertantly deleted somehow?

Just checked the Forum settings, and auto-prune is not enabled for the Women's Cycling Interests board.

But I agree that it looks like posts are being deleted as time progresses. I'll investigate further.

In this day and age isn't 'Womens cycling interests' a bit 1950s?
Does a modern Forum really need it?

Funnily enough when cycling forums have women's boards most respondents were male anyway.

Or for the sake of equality we should have a men's section?

Aren't those, mostly, the other 32 (I think) sections?

I can't be positive but I'm sure I've seen women postingin the other 32.

While we are at it why does Radio 4 have a Women's hour but no men's hour

One effect of the loss of those earlier threads is that the original discussion following the introduction about the need for that section has gone. Along with a number of other threads which pre-dated it which were moved into it, presumably to bulk it out a bit.
