Maybe this sort of story?

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/c1ejpnkvqd5o
A mother whose son was left seriously injured after he was hit by a car believes the 20mph limit saved his life.

The 11-year-old, named Ioan, was left with a double fracture to his pelvis, deep cuts to his face, knees, back and elbow and needed three stitches to his lower lip after the crash on Monday.

Or this?
The 20mph speed limit has many critics across Wales, but some people in two villages have said they would welcome it near their homes.

A number of residents in Eglwys Fach and Furnace in Ceredigion said they did not feel safe walking in the villages, which have a 40mph speed limit on a section of a main road without a pavement.

They said there had been fatal accidents and many near-misses near their homes on the A487, and that they have been calling for a safer walking route for decades.

Some results of the restrictions.
Casualties in crashes on 20mph and 30mph roads dropped after the introduction of the default 20mph speed limit, new data shows. The number of casualties on roads with these speed limits fell from 681 in the final quarter of 2022 to 463 in the fourth quarter of 2023.

Vehicle damage claims in Wales fall 20% since speed limit cut to 20mph, says insurer

Post by Mike Sales »

, Rob Clark, head of motor underwriting at esure, said: “We can see a clear drop in vehicle damage claims in Wales since the 20mph speed restriction was introduced in September 2023. During a time when we usually see these claims rise, they dropped and have continued to do so in the first quarter of 2024. The restriction is clearly having an impact.”
In a pledge that, if implemented, would mark a significant reversal of devolution, the Tories said that if re-elected they would immediately introduce a “backing drivers bill” that would use Westminster powers to quash local say over parts of transport policy.
Rod King, the founder of the campaign group 20’s Plenty for Us, said the data from esure “confirms on a national scale the benefits from lower speeds not only reducing casualties and danger but also providing a benefit to drivers in reduced insurance claims”.

He added: “The reductions are both statistically significant and timely in showing the reduction in road danger from implementing 20mph limits on a national basis. Statistically, some of those crashes which never happened would have resulted in death or injury for the road users involved. The national 20mph limits has already saved lives and injury.”

Will this news get as much publicity as the outcry against having to slow down did?

ha ha!

We should start a fake viral campaign complaining about the reduction in claims and injuries. If you get enough clicks, MSM will report it!

They're keen on killing anyone who can be milked for their wherewithals first. Methods include: very bad housing; toxic fud&drank; cackywater; gambling oneself to death; starving; freezing; heatstroke; and, coming soon, mad weather. Toryspiv policies are keen to promote all of these things, especially those killer "businesses" in which one can buy shares or get bungs from.

Not that it looks like the Conservatives will get any opportunity to implement their aims to revert Wales' 20 limits, it now appears that in a different Universe they still couldn't because of "devolution". So their pledge was now faded to a "The UK Government will work with the Senedd to pass a motion to show their support".

Yep. It is a devolved matter, so unless the Conservatives win back power in Westminster (unlikely) and unless they then drag back powers from the devolved Welsh government (even more unlikely) they will have to rely on winning power in the Senedd (so unlikely as to be not worth thinking about). So it is all words without substance. Or another way of signalling that the Tories would oppose a 20mph default on urban roads in England.
