Nice pair of Kingpins there. Mine don't have the lamp bracket stud on the front forks, but one has the dynamo bracket on the rear seat stay.
On my fast one i filed the front fork drop out so i could use a dual pivot brake with the 451 wheels which i rebuilt using alloy rims.

At the last count:- Peugeot 531 pro, Dawes Discovery Tandem, Dawes Kingpin X3, Raleigh 20 stowaway X2, 1965 Moulton deluxe, Falcon K2 MTB dropped bar tourer, Rudge Bi frame folder, Longstaff trike conversion on a Giant XTC 840

BTW you need to reverse the direction of the cotter pins in the blue kingpin. You push on the cotter not the nut when pedalling.rjb wrote: ↑13 Aug 2024, 5:19pm Nice pair of Kingpins there. Cotter pin orientation always confused me, but yes it’s: pin (it’s head) leading and nut up with the crank horizontal on the downstroke.rjb wrote: ↑13 Aug 2024, 7:59pmBTW you need to reverse the direction of the cotter pins in the blue kingpin. That (the blue one) is one lovely looking Kingpin.
Don’t fret, it’s OK to: ride a simple old bike; ride slowly, walk, rest and admire the view; ride off-road; ride in your raincoat; ride by yourself; ride in the dark; and ride one hundred yards or one hundred miles. Your bike and your choices to suit you.

It's an aftermarket bike / triggers broom / bike of Theseus.
Philosophically it is to me still a British Eagle Mission from 2000. At this point only the handlebars and gear shifters (lightly modified) are original.
