My software has picked up all my LEJOG's since 2010..... here's an overview. 2013 is missing.

I have finally calculated my total mileage and climbs for 2024, its 973 miles 61750 feet. Last year (over the Cairngorms) was 957 miles 58300 feet.

Loch Fleet is the best place on the east coast (north of Inverness) for seeing seals. When travelling along the road on the south shore of the Loch at low tides they are frequently to be seen lazing on the sand banks.

Well our LeJog finished on Saturday 29th June. Unfortunately I had to bail out in Moffat due to illness.
My two mates cycled on and I did baggage ferrying from Newtonmore after recovery.
Cornwall's hills were something else! I'm used to cycling in Scotland but they were the steepest hills
I've come across. We used BnB's and averaged around 40 miles per day. The route was Penzance, Truro, Newlyn,
South Molton, Taunton, Wells, Glastonbury, Bath, Thornbury, Bridgnorth, Droitwich, Nantwich, Bolton, Ingleton, Penrith,
Gretna, Lockerbie, Moffat, Glasgow, Aberfoyle, Killin, Pitlochry, Inverness, Lairg, Strathnaver, Bettyhill, JOG.
Thanks to the bike shop in Wells and to the guys at Escape Bikes in Ingleton for saving our trip (repairs needed).
Without exception, everyone we met was very friendly and welcoming. Great to meet up with other kindred spirits!
What a great bunch of folk cyclists are!
For accomm would recommend The Crask Inn (nr Lairg) and Armadale House (Nr Strathy on the north coast).

Hi, sorry to hear you became ill, hope you’re fully recovered.

Thanks for sharing the route, did you create a .gpx or something you are happy to share. I know you recommended two places to stay, were there some to avoid ?

We are planning a LEJOG, possibly June 2026 as I’m already committed to a motorcycle ride to Nordkapp next year.

Thanks again
Two wheels preferred.

Hi,

I completed LEJOG in August and thought I'd share a souvenir my wife created for me. It roughly shows the route, days, and elevation. This forum has been a big inspiration for me and if anyone has any questions on my route please don't be afraid to ask.
