Hi, I’m new to the forum so if this is in the wrong place I’m sorry.
I recently had a fault with my Cycliq front camera, in that it wouldn’t turn on. It is only 8 months old. Contacted Cycliq who sent me a long email basically treating me as a 5 year old. The email originated in Australia who are 8 hours ahead of uk. So email correspondence is slow. The outcome from Cycliq was send it back to us here in Oz at my expense. Needless to say I was not a happy bunny and told them so I’ve now decided to put the camera in my recycling and look for a camera which has a UK support team. I’m posting this as a warning to anyone who’s thinking of buying a Cycliq product, if it goes wrong no chance of getting it sorted. Shame really as the camera was excellent.

If that was in the UK you have some statutory rights.

I know, so there’s a lesson to be learnt here. Cycliq have come back to me with an onstage label but quite honestly I’ve had enough of them.
I did tell them that maybe they should learn from our discussions and treat customers better and suggest the free return postage be offered at the start of emails between them and disgruntled customers.

I’m not impressed by Cycliq either. They charge top dollar for their products, so you would expect best quality and excellent customer service. The Fly 12 is almost £350. I had the original Fly12 and it stopped working after about 18 months, so out of warranty. That said, I’m still using the Fly6 rear camera that I bought at the same time, about 6 years ago. I still think their products are overpriced for what they are. I replaced the Fly12 with a Techalogic CF1, which does everything that the Fly12 does, for a third of the price - just over £100.

I bought an original 12 and 6 second hand from eBay years ago.
The 12 was temperamental at first but after resetting it a reformatting the SD card a few times it has worked without problems.
The video quality is great but they are expensive, I don't know if I would buy them new.
