Nice pair of Kingpins there. Mine don't have the lamp bracket stud on the front forks, but one has the dynamo bracket on the rear seat stay.
On my fast one i filed the front fork drop out so i could use a dual pivot brake with the 451 wheels which i rebuilt using alloy rims.

BTW you need to reverse the direction of the cotter pins in the blue kingpin. You push on the cotter not the nut when pedalling.

Cotter pin orientation always confused me, but yes it’s: pin (it’s head) leading and nut up with the crank horizontal on the downstroke.

That (the blue one) is one lovely looking Kingpin.
Don’t fret, it’s OK to: ride a simple old bike; ride slowly, walk, rest and admire the view; ride off-road; ride in your raincoat; ride by yourself; ride in the dark; and ride one hundred yards or one hundred miles. Your bike and your choices to suit you.

It's an aftermarket bike / triggers broom / bike of Theseus.

Philosophically it is to me still a British Eagle Mission from 2000. At this point only the handlebars and gear shifters (lightly modified) are original.

Pre-loved, swapped the saddle and lowered the gearing to better suit the local terrain.

Couldn't resist this bargain. Found in the next village to us. On collection the owner said she was born in our village and it belonged to her mum. Looks like it's come home. Dated 04/1977 on the Sturmey hub.

Yes. I'm surprised the red lens is still attached. I bought one in the 70's and fitted it to my road bike. After it's first outing I arrived home to find the lens had fallen off somewhere. The replacement one I purchased I taped the lens on with tape as a secondary retention. :D

BTW the hub is dead 04/77. 3 speed trigger fitted, may not be original as my others have the Sturmey twistgrip.

The pvc saddle covering has stretched and is quite loose. Has anyone here tried using something like a hair dryer to carefully shrink it.?

Cycled up from home in the valley, onto a deserted Miners' Track this afternoon.

Llyn Teyrn and Yr Wyddfa

(Cube Reaction Touring One e-Bike, stripped of mudguards and rack, then fitted with mild knobblies for just this type of local hardpack trails and tracks)

The pedals aren't parallel to the cranks

Must try harder, otherwise OK!!
