Wedding favours

Post by Redvee »

My OH proposed over the weekend and already plans are being discussed for the wedding next November. One thing we're struggling on is finding a small choc bar or sweets that most people associate with cycling, these will be non-cycling people. I'm leaning towards haribos but don't feel that will refelct my interest in cycling. My OH was a bus driver so double decker bars will cover that and we're both into Rocky Horror Picture show so a Rocky choc biscuit will cover that part of our life and the guests from that part of our life will understand that choc biscuit.
Suggestions please.

Congratulations! The only thing that comes to mind for cycling confectionery is mountains = (mini) Toblerones.

Congratulations and I wish you both many happy years of married life together.

Wedding favours and the like are outside of this old man’s knowledge, but I googled cycling biscuits and came up with several options including making your own. The home baked idea would appeal to me and maybe you can get moulds for bus shaped biscuits too, etc.
Don’t fret, it’s OK to: ride a simple old bike; ride slowly, walk, rest and admire the view; ride off-road; ride in your raincoat; ride by yourself; ride in the dark; and ride one hundred yards or one hundred miles. Your bike and your choices to suit you.

Add up your combined mileages. It might well come close to the distance to, circumference of, or any other meaningful measurement pertaining to Mars.
By the same measure I think we can ignore Milky Way.

£12 for 9:

And of course the guests could argue at length about the appropriate gearing...

We've looked at these already and dismissed them on cost as we'll be looking at around 100 guests.

Unless something better is suggested this is the current winner, seen them at Bezo's shop but there's a shop in Bristol selling them too so will most likely support a local business.

Seeing the response to JDSK’s suggestion reminds me of how very costly weddings can be - and usually are :( . I am reminded of the wedding of a remote relative’s daughter which was eye wateringly expensive, that marriage lasted about six months. My Mrs and I spent relatively little and have been together for decades. It might not be strictly the case but when the focus is on the act of marriage rather than a big show then it seems to me that the outcome is happier.

Watch and stay within your budget, it was hard to earn the money and once (over) spent it won’t be there when you need it later.

Wagon Wheels.

I know, it's probably as much to do with cycling as a Mars bar but it's all I could think of.

The chocolate industry doesn't care about us cyclists!

Congratulations by the way!
We'll always be together, together on electric bikes.

Congratulations

You can get "Bicycle Bike Cyclist pre-cut Edible Cake Topper" for cupcakes (google that phrase)

Yes, definitely Wagon Wheels. Like bicycle wheels they've got smaller over the years

Perhaps you might make something using this cutting and embossing tool? - https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/125840648436
