I am planning a ride from Italy (Bologna) to somewhere west of there. I want to ride along the Riviera (see this thread: viewtopic.php?t=163990). After that, I want to head up to the Gorges du Verdun and then to Avignon.
After Avignon, I am wondering if riding to Paris is worthwhile? Is it all farmland and river riding? Is there a more interesting route? I see there various bike routes to go there.
Are there routes that go into the mountains northeast of Avignon that are worth it and not too hard?
This is the route cycle.travel drew for me: https://cycle.travel/map/journey/696128
