Wife and Myself did all around the coast, so that must count as all round. We did it over 5 years, holidays and weekends. Approximately 5000 miles I recorded. Nice project. It is amazing how many of the seaside places you see on the TV that I can still identify.

Really well done, it must have been more challenging in 1959 (before I was born) than it is now, for many logistical reasons, I'm sure it would make a great story.mjc wrote: 7 Feb 2025, 7:38pmDid London-LE_JOG-London solo in1959 .4 weeks 2000Plus mls. Would like to here from other All Rounders.mjc
I attempted Home-LE-JOG-Home, 10+ years ago, at the end of March, but got snowed out in Inverness, and couldn't continue, after completing home-LE-JOG-Inverness, and considered numerous ways to prevent abandoning. The weather front was in for 5 days and I had to get back for work. After camping in Inverness for a couple of days, I came to the realisation that I had to concede and got a one-way-hire car home.
I've considered doing it again, now that I'm early-retired, but I have too many other projects on the list, although I'm not ruling it out completely.
I also read Mike Carter's excellent book and considered a similar venture, and had the time to complete, just as that time coincided with the Covid-19 Pandemic, so that was put to bed as well.
