Which generation?
The compatibility varied; 9 speed, early 10 speed or late 10 speed (4700).
If 4700 are they cable or hydraulic brakes?

4600s and 4700s, whilst both being Tiagra 10 speed need different rear mechs to make it work

sorry...... 4700 would be preferable, for cable discs. i have a mech to suit.
