In the late 90s I tried a "wet and dry" electric shaver. Absolutely brilliant shave, no cuts, but the shaver died after a year's use because the wet seeped into the motor. After a quick price calculation I switched to blades.

For almost 10 years I used old-fashioned safety razors, which are easy to recycle, theoretically easy to sharpen, and very cheap - but eventually they started causing irritation so I'm back to twin-bladers.
Everyone's ghast should get a good flabbering now and then.
