Re: Bike Alarm

Post by Sweep »

you or anyone else had any more experience with this ST599?

My issue now is that I don't seem to be able to get it to GO INTO deep sleep mode!

This will be useful to say the least.

On recent ride I packed it away for the ride and the thing kept arming itself - not hard to do as arming/locking it takes only a single press of one button.

I don't think this can be avoided by keeping the control and alarm separate when packed as my experiments seem to show that the control has quite a range.

I follow the apparent system for deep sleep but a single press of the lock button seems to just arm it again.

The only way I can currently see to disarm the thing until activated is to take the batteries out of the alarm but this isn't really an option as the screw on the cover is so fiddly and the screw seating will doubtless wreck itself if this is done more than minimally.

Anyone any experience/solutions?

Apart from this it does seem very good.

And yes VERY LOUD.
