AFAIK LEJOGLE isn’t a recognised RRA record.
The attempt will be trying to beat Marcia's Guinness World Record of 11 days, 13 hours and 13 minutes.
Should be doable especially with support for the whole trip.
I rode with Marcia through my area and I think it was shortly after that her husband had to go back to work. She was on her own for a while and our now EVRI delivery person helped her out for a few days using her motorhome.

Aye, but isn’t Mike B planning RRA recognised distances?

After reaching John O'Groats some RRA End to End record holders have carried on to go for the RRA 1,000mile record.

It sounds as though Mike is doing somerhing similar in going fot the return to Lands End - an impressive record but not one recognised by the RRA

Will the outward ride be recognised by the RRA if he gives notice and beats the existing record?

Sorry - I thought there were two attempts here, one for Lejogle (Sarah Ruggins) and the other (Mike B) for the 1000 miler?

An update on Sarah Ruggins LEJOGLE. There is now more info on her webpage

https://www.lejogle.org/

including a tracker for the dot watchers among you. She is trying for the all out record, not just the women's one) & due to start on the 11th. A recent post on Instagram says they will decide which end to start 36 hours in advance, but are 99% decided on heading north first (screen grab below).

And she's off...

She headed south from John O'Groats a short while ago &, as I type, approaching Wick.

This needs correcting 🤭
It appears an attempt has passed us all by. The record to beat is one held by Louise Harris 10 days 5 hours set in July 2023. Her husband, and dogs, were able to support for the whole event in their Motorhome. Which supports my earlier thoughts.

Was the Spanish-Rescue-Dogs ride recognised by Guinness?
(Not that I think GWR are the prime authority ... I just wanted clarification :-) )

Would she be allowed to say she had beaten the record if her attempt wasn’t recognised by GWR?
Would Sarah Ruggins be trying to beat a record which wasn’t validated?
