Search not working on Archive > Technical : too good to lose board

Searchy no worky

The sample search returns no results, as do many (all?) other valid search terms.

Using an advanced search and limiting results to that forum board also returns no results.

Its Non-technical twin seems to be fine.

Hmmm... well spotted!

I can't get any search results for either of the Archive forums. But search everywhere else is working fine.

Both Forums have "Enable search indexing" turned on.

I've re-started the Spinx search daemon, and it all seems OK.

This is going to need more investigation...

Hmm, scratch that. "Garmin" returned hits and I didn't test anything else. Having gone back after reading Admin's comments, the non-tech board is exhibiting similar issues.

The threads in both the Too Good To Lose boards are not actually in those boards. With the exception of three threads, all the threads in those boards are just links to the topic in its original board, e.g. Bikes and Bits. The clue is the arrow in the circle next to the thread title in the board index - hold your cursor over the icon and it shows 'moved topic'. So it is no good using the Advanced Search function to search just those boards.

Aha, the boards don't contain actual posts, just links to posts. That explains it - thank's slowster!
