I am a member of both Cycling UK and for the past 20 years also of the German ADFC. I very recently suggested the ADFC look at creating a forum like this one. It turns out they are already at the early stages of thinking about it.
Would anyone be willing to be a contact person for the ADFC to answer questions? I imagine they would be interested to know about the amount of effort needed to administer and moderate the forum, how much technical knowledge is required, whether a support contract is advisable, if they could use the forum rules as a basis - that sort of thing. Communication would be in English of course.
I have not suggested or offered this to the ADFC; I thought it best to sound out here first. If nobody is willing or is lacking time I'll understand and pursue it no further.
If or when you are ready to be put in contact with my ADFC contact, please PM me and I'll share contact details.

I am NOT a cyclist. I enjoy riding a bike for utility, commuting, fitness and touring on tout terrain Rohloff, Brompton M3L (2004) and Wester Ross 354 plus a Burley Travoy trailer.
