Wanted. TA and Stronglight tools

Post by joost »

Hello.

I’ve always been ‘lucky’ with my wanted item on this forum so here goes.

I’m building an old Path bike up . It came with a TA bottom bracket which requires cleaning/greasing, I need the bottom bracket tools for this.

Also, I’m fitting an old Stronglight 49d chainset. I need the crank extractor , 23.35mm .
Also! Missing crank bolts.

Thank you for looking. J

Please can you be more specific on which tool you require.

Hi. I need to remove non-drive side, so ‘c-spanner’ and peg spanned for TA b/b and Stronglight crank extractor.

Oh, and a TA 14mm crank bolt spanner.

Thank you

Thank you, that’s a really kind offer however, I haven’t built the bike yet so it’ll be for my toolbox for the future.

Thank you very much. Julian

A generic lockring hook spanner and adjustable peg spanner should suffice for the bottom bracket. My TA crank bolts and spanner are 15mm, not 14mm, but in any case a 3/8" or 1/2"drive socket should similarly do for the crank bolt. Some older style crank extractors (not Stronglight or TA) also have a 14mm socket.

Thank you. Yes. I managed to remove the TA bottom bracket with my existing tools .

I guess it’s only the Stronglight crank remover I’ll need in the future. It’s a 50’s Ephgrave Path frame so once it’s built I should imagine I’ll rarely need to strip it down.

Cheers for your advice Julian
