Re: Tree/shrub IDs please
I have another one now it has come spring...
The one which has brown bark and grows very straight has now grown leaves and also flowers. I looked in tree guide and useless as usual.
The leaves are thin and ovoid but going to a sharp end both sides symmetrically. Can't think of another analogy but they are like the shape of a woman's private part, and orange coloured and the flowers are white like apple tree flowers.
I looked up wild cherry and doesn't look like that.
Out of ideas now. Suggestions? The tree structures are straight up and the branches go up and out like a V shape from the main trunk consistently.

No despite the description.
Someone elsewhere said they consulted chatgpt (hate how that is the new 'I just googled') and it told them columnar cherry which seems the closest yet however I have not seen any evidence for cherries either on the tree or pits on the ground so doubt that too.
