I was excited to see a new post, but saddened to see the route isn’t fixed. Thanks for keeping us updated. I need to visit CPR for work before the year end and hope to be able to take and use my bike during the trip.
Two wheels preferred.

This section of road is (at last!) open. I have marked it as such on OpenStreetMap but it will take a while for cycling route apps to catch up.
There's also a new section of cylepath due to open from Carland Cross down to Mitchell in January. After that happens, I will post a map showing the full route for this section.

At Last! 300 million spent on the road, with no thought for cyclists like thee and me in Cornwall!

Happy Days.

Nearly all of the 'Old A30' through central Cornwall is now open, and usable by JOGLE or LeJOG riders. This avoids the new A30 section on which cyclists are banned :( , and avoid longer diversions around the A30 which have been necessary for the last 5 years or so. Seehttps://cycle.travel/by/chris/old_a30_for_jogle__lejog for a map showing the route.
There will be a further bit to add when the new cyclepath from Carland Cross to Mitchell is officially opened. I will report back here when this is the case.

NOT BEFORE TIME!! Thinking back, I was remembering when I first rode this route - no dual carriageways in those far-off days, which meant that one could easily stop in Bolventor for lunch - the Jamaica Inn was always a welcome sight between Bodmin and Lanson!

Fastest route would be A30 from LE to Blackwater/Chiverton Cross (western bit of my route above) then rejoin the A30 at Mitchell (Eastern bit of my route above). You're allowed to ride on the whole of the rest of the A30, although I wouldn't want to.
There's many other threads on this forum about alternative routes. But AFAIK the fastest route doesn't go through Exeter, it goes further north.
