My wife and I are off to Spain/Portugal in a few months time. Getting our tandem onto Flixbus doesn’t leave much spare luggage capacity. Does anyone have any recommendations for the smallest, most packable helmet that would satisfy the Spanish law? I guess what I’m after is what Thirdcrank might affectionately refer to as a ‘Bobby Dodger’.

There are foldable helmets available eg https://closca.com/en-gb/collections/fo ... 7fgoGAnL99

We're off to Spain next week, we'll wear helmets when it's cool but not when it's hot. I can't imagine there'll be any problem, though could be proved wrong of course.

Rather off topic, but you can get a tandem on Flixbus?? Whole or split?

Another folding lid option, https://wearenewlane.com/ (not tried them, not particularly recommending them, simply aware of them).

Thanks Guys,
At those sort of prices, maybe its just cheaper to risk the fine!

The tandem is a Circe Helios. ... It goes into a suitcase which morphs into a bike trailer.

Thanks! The trailer is a cunning idea.

Or just pop into the nearest decathlon or similar on arrival for cheap helmets?
