Oldest kit that I bought at the time, is a couple of PARROT tops, excellent quality,
Well made and designed. Mr Parrot, used to turn up on Yorkshire Dales MtB tours back in the 90s.

Ditto Parrott tops. I still use my Yellow windproof and my waterproof zipper top. I bought them when Daleswear were still going and had bought out the remains of Parrott.
My oldest bit of gear is a black Hely Hansen T shirt that must go back to around 2000. It is still in good nick and giving good wear.

Joy of joys, I've found my other cycle clip.

On 6Dec last year I made a contribution to this post referring to wearing my CTC tief rom the 1960s and mentioned my lost cycle clip which was even older.

This morning just as I was about to open the shed door to get to the bird seed, I spotted something in the grass - my other cycleclip, I now have the pair from the mid 50s.

I hope they qualify! - After all, they're about 70 years old and still do their job as well as ever!

The CTC jersey will have to be made in a collared version so club members can wear their club ties with their club shirts.

I've just remembered I have these two books bought from Nicholson's bike shop in Dundee. Definitely not clothing but one gave me the inspiration to go youth hosteling all over Scotland and the other was my Dr Bike reference book. It's an essential aid for all cyclists, after all where else could you find out how to keep your acetylene lamp in good working order.?

I have some serviceable Pete Salisbury cycling shoes from 1979. I used them extensively. I had a heel added so I could walk comfortably. I used them till I converted to modern cleats about 10 years ago.

1986 jacket still in use during the summer. It is 100% cotton and nice to wear as a wind proof , it has zero waterproofing so is very breathable.

I have a short sleeved top and a over jacket with nylon windproof front from 1989-90. Both are from Impsport and branded with "Darlington Freewheelers".

I have other jerseys but they date from about 1996.
