Would it be possible for links within posts to automatically open in a new tab?

I find it frustrating that unless I right click and select Open in New Tab I lose my place in the forum.

We had a discussion some time ago about this. As many wanted links to open in new tabs as those that didn't.

Depending on your browser, Shift-click or Ctrl-click, will open links in a new tab. This has the advantage of working on every website, however the links are configured.
