Oh yes the Alness cafe? Was that the community one? And the descent into Inverness....my legs have never spinned so fast... and that camp site.....

Just browsing through this (having cribbed some of the original Wimps route for my own back in 2020).
I remember all too well that scary descent in wind and rain and the sanctuary of a marvellous cafe and a lavish ‘full Scottish’ at Strathdearn (having checked out of my hotel bored with the endless wait for breakfast). Looking out at the rain and lingering over repeated coffees - that’s a memory.
