Torrential rain this morning but seems to have faired up and sun is shining now.

Lovely and sunny in Kernowland but a bitter easterly wind that’s set to be here for the remainder of the week. :(

I think we've had our first full day without rain.

It’s warm again
The easterly wind has gone.

It’s days like this that make 7 month of dismal winter worth enduring.

We had a few drops of rain yesterday between the sunshine. Back to sunny again today, and 24-25c in prospect next week.

We could really do with a bit of rain now, to be honest. Yes, it snowed over winter, but the last time we had proper rain for more an hour or so was October.

Finally raining here. Started night before last, rained steadily yesterday and due to continue for another 24 hours. Annoying for work (forestry machine driving) but it is needed.

That Baltic northern blast ( very cold and wet with sunny intervals ) has at last relented and we're back to our most usual May weather which is constant rain and a wee bit milder.

I pitied the poor group of cyclists I met on the ferry coming back from my Cheshire cycle trip. Although they were heading south down to Rosstrevor area so maybe not as cold as up here at around 5 to 8°C. In saying that I've been getting a fair bit of cycling in that weather. When you warm up through the exercise you can pretend it's England or somewhere warmer (if you don't look at the rubbish in the verges ) just don't stop....

Dull and overcast -- not raining at least but not warm either. A good clothes drying day yesterday but again dull -- threatening rain all day with a few spits here and there.

Where's this heat wave we hear about on the news?

As you do know, the sun shines on the righteous .... but also on us sinners. However, for the sinners to get a bit o' sun they must have some of the righteous in proximity. So, my conclusion is that the spot in which you habitually abide is righteous-free (although with a larger than average dollop of the self-righteous, perhaps. See various mad political parties in your locale, for details).

I can only recommend that you encourage more immigration of nicer folk from elsewhere. Much more. :-)

PS It's very sunny & warm here, with very light breezes and immense amounts of tree-green and verge-flowers. Everyone is happy, probably because The Welsh are very righteous, even the adopted ones from Saisland. The sinners are reported to The Big Man (in the sky) who sees them orf, often with a personal plague or pestilence.

Or so I was told by one of the more intense chapel-goers.

Ah you might have a few more Roman Catholics in your part of Wales.

We have the likes of the Donaldson's here so you may be correct in your assessment of the weather situation here.

Wait -- I've given a little more brain power to the weather situation -- it's a chicken and egg thing.

It's not cos we've got worse people than you cos Protestants and Roman Catholics are everywhere it's simply cos here, where the weather is naturally bad, is the only place people, the rest of the world ( ie Wales ) don't like, can go cos the good people won't follow them here.

Warm and sunny here with a 4 m/s NW. About 23-25c. Actually quite nice with the breeze. I don't like the heat really.

I got out for three hours of gentle endurance work on gravel this morning, and nice to see a few other riders out and about too. Not common here.
