It should be against the law to post a statement like that without also posting accompanying photos of said magnificent bike!

I visited Spa a couple of weeks ago on one of our recent heatwave days. A customer was just loading up a new Surly on to his VW camper van. Another couple were in looking at their first move to road bikes from MTBs. The chap front of house, Bob, was happy to juggle them & me with multiple test rides up and down the access road, saddle height adjustments, questions and all the rest. All done with good grace despite the stifling heat. The other couple eventually left on an extended test ride. An hour later, I had gone through a detailed build spec for my Elan 725. Bob provided a rough costing and we agreed the sale. Modest deposit paid & away we went. Same day, full spreadsheet of build spec received and approved by me. 3 week estimated build time. Just 13 days later, incoming email "Your bike's ready". Delivery date agreed. My bike came, very securely packaged, with the front wheel, front mudguard, bars, own pedals and saddle to fit. All duly done. First shakedown/fit adjustment ride today. All good, final adjustments made and a lovely bike to ride.
