Yes, I bet it did.
She saw the funny side anyhow and I sent her on her way with the right pressure (40 psi) for the rear tyre which, despite having the same treatment, was still intact when she left.
“I hope the roof’s still on your house when you get back” I said as she shut the gate.
That's some car tyre pump to reach or at least set to 200 psi - did you catch which make? -- I could do with replacing my old electric one.

I only assumed it was electric because I’ve never seen a manual pump that can achieve that.

Ah OK -- Maybe it was 200kpa which would be around 30psi and just an old perished tube hence how the other tube survived.

I think there had been more than 30psi in there as she said it had blown the tube. In fact the tube was fine and I reckon the sound she heard was the bead reseating on the rim which must have been under a great deal of pressure if it was audibly mistaken for a burst tube.

The loud snap my landcruisers go in with always shocks whoever is standing nearby so I'm not surprised but it takes well over the pressure I'd normally ride with to seat them. Sometimes I'll just leave them a while and when I go back they've seated. One seated while my wife was in the garage, I'll not repeat what she shouted in the moment and then at me afterwards.

We had terrible big black clouds completely covering the eclipse last night so I asked one of my workmates if he got any good pictures of the eclipse from where he lived --

he said "I tried but ah f*** it I'll wait for the next one"

I know that I shouldn't laugh In the circs, but I can't help it.
I have just heard that 'influencers' are getting themselves bitten whilst filming selfies with sharks.
It's the same the whole world over

It's the rich what gets the pleasure
Isn't it a blooming shame?

Good Bloke Outdoors -- normally a hiker / multiday wild camper -- cycles from Bradford to Blackpool after not being on a bike for three years.

Very funny chap -- makes great videos -- this is one of the best.
