Rotrax

I'm an 'oldie' who's thinking of buying a new road bike to get back on two wheels. Rotrax was, in the long-gone past, my favourite framemaker, so yesterday (as I live near Southampton) I popped into Rotrax Cycles shop to see what they've got. There were a few nice-looking frames hanging up, mostly traditional lightweights, but one with unusual curved top and down tubes. The man in the shop told me the latter was for a 'city bike'. But apart from briefly answering any direct question, he was not at all encouraging.

Does anyone have any recent experience of Rotrax frames or their general service, please - or any other relevant advice or comments.
