Just out of interest, is this "Dark Bush Cricket" indigenous to Britain? - and, Mick, how big was it in inches?

The body was about 2" long, and indigenous to our back garden!

I don't mind picking up spiders as I quite often do in our house. At certain times of the year they seem to be more active and if one of the girls goes into the bathroom or they find one in the bedroom etc there's usualy a scream and DAAAAAD quick
