training in scotland?

Post by andy_scot_uk »

Is there instructor training available in Scotland? Much of the material on the CTC site is based on England and Wales as are the bursaries.

Cycling Scotland organises [road] cycle training in Scotland, and should be able to put you in touch with a Cycle Training programme to suit your needs, assuming you are a customer/client. I am a member of http://www.AberdeenCycleTrainers.co.uk which offers cycle training in the aberdeen/shire area. HTH

Thanks

There are courses run in Edinburgh but there just hasn't been one for a long time. Hopefully the Scottish Government will do something with their new Cycling Action Plan which I see Aberdeen replied to; http://www.scottish.parliament.uk/s3/co ... ponses.htm

I seem to remember there was training available last year. I nearly applied to do it myself. cant seem to find if it is still available or not.
I tried a quick google and came up with this http://cyclingscotland.msol.org.uk/local/training/
A bike does more miles to the banana than a Porsche.
