Mick,
The welly slap is unbearable, especially when ankling, your calves are red raw within 10 miles
It would be a good replacement for ASBO's.
Take any offending yoof as far away from home as possible,Preferably more than 200miles then make said yoof ride home in SPD wellies (tightened right up so he /she(don't want to be sexist) can't unclip),Oh and wearing only a suger bag and a vest. That should keep 'em out of trouble.

Yes, Wellie-Slap, a bit of a problem I fear. Chapped legs, and all that noise, slapping away at a terrific cadence. Must be terrible if you're on a fixed wheel ......

Do you thing I could screw on my Campag ProFit cleats? I hope not.

It was a problem with ankle flexing, I think. Like you, Nick, I remember it was hard work ....

Could the slap and chapping be reduced by filling the wellies with custard?

I'll see you your wellies and raise you a pair of wellies and a set of fishing rods strapped tot he top tube! A 12ft match road is excellent for bicycle jousting!
