A thread for silly signs that you come across on your rides - here's one from the highest point of the TaffTrail
Pedantic cyclists and walkers turn around and go back the other way

Had that very problem on our trip to the Brecons in November,if the Welsh don't flummux you with the language they surely nail you with route 8.
PS, sorry Dai
PPS, the Welsh folks did make us feel at home though and very courtious drivers too.

It's ok - that sign confused me too and I've lived here all my life. We're a bit behind the times in Wales so I think it's probably the local home guard - did it to confuse the German paratroopers - you know the ones, drop out of the sky dresed as nuns etc..
Don't panic Mr Mainwairing............

Anybody suggest a similar activity to golf - dressing up as a clown to mow the lawn springs to mind

often with an early start?
getting things into holes?
being bored to tears?

This pick is quite dark as the sun had only just come up but the little sign actually says no parking.
What a great solution to congestion - flood all the car parks.

I can’t vouch for the validity of this, but I was once told about a sign in the middle of a village pond which just said, “please do not throw stones at this sign”
