Car Bike rack

Can anyone suggest a bike rack suitable for a Renault Megane - the one with the bump on the back. Sadly my old one doesn't fit it, and I don't have a tow bar. I don't really fancy a roof one, partly because I'd have to lift the bikes up there and I have a back problem.

I've no idea about that specific model and if nobody else posts who has, there's a lot to be said for specialists in the motor trade. eg

Halfords have always had loads of different stuff to look at in their showrooms, generally Thule and their own-brand stuff. I get the impression they are going over more to internet-only for this type of thing because it involves all sorts of different adaptors for different models of car and that causes stock holding problems which are more easily dealt with at one distribution centre.

I have a Mont Blanc Hi Mount 3 cycle carrier (from Argos).
Once you get the hang of it, very easy to adjust for your car.
Used on a Polo, Mondeo, Astra and now a Colt.

It seems the roofbox company don't do one for my model of Megane (2003). The difficulty with my old rack is that the edge of the door on the hatch is folded under and the straps prevent the locking of the door which is flush on the bottom edge. Oh well back to the drawing board, thanks for the suggestions.

I would contact the Roofbox company as it looks to be an omission rather than that they don't stock them IYKWIM. I just last week ordered a roof box from them and was impressed by the price and speed of delivery and the extras that they throw in for 10p.
