Got a Vango Dart DS something or other here going spare. Only used once, albeit unwillingly, at last years TCT. I'll bring it with me it's any use to you.

Got the coaster hub fitted to the Rover on Monday - finished refitting the brake mechs last night
Finally laquered the lettering on the Pedersen tonight - only 12 months or so after applying them
Still have to give Christine the once over - perhaps fit a slightly smaller chainwheel if I have one
All three bikes to clean
Tent and gear still to sort out
Lamps/stoves/kettles to polish
Check the car over
Go to work
etc etc
Oh, yes. At 4am on Saturday I'm moving the Humber keel from Beverley to South Ferriby for the sailing season and once it's there I have to re-rig it (has to be unrigged to get under the bridges through Hull).
So, there's no rush - 'sages yet to the TCT innit?

By the same token, do you have to de-keel it to avoid the prams, pushchairs, old cars, dead people... etc in the Humber?

I think I'm pretty much good to go. I had an unplanned de-hitch of the trailer this evening in view of some cyclists I'd just waved hello to but thankfully was ok. I must remember it's much more bouncy when nearly empty!

I took delivery of a spare 16" tube for the trailer today, and a cable cutter so I might even get around to sorting my frayed gear cable before TCT. I washed the bike a couple of weeks ago so that'll do! Of course I have my spare hub ready too.

I've even plotted a route home on the GPS - haven't checked any of the contours yet so might change plan on the fly if I've made a topographical boo-boo there.

Some extra info:

The campsite shop is open from 9am to 7pm. On the basis that three hours is too long to wait for a cup of tea in the morning, there is a newsagent about five minutes ride away that sells milk, and logically is open earlier.

There is a freezer in the recreation room for anyone wishing to store food, freeze ice packs, etc.

If we get back to the campsite before 7pm, I'll be buying milk to keep in a coolbox overnight. I'll put the coolbox under TCT One so feel free to put your milk in there for your morning cuppa if required. Failing that, we can club together and buy one or two four pinters wherever we see a shop on the way back each evening.

I shall be at the campsite from about lunchtime Friday as I'm leaving Norfolk at 4am and stopping at Ascot for brekky at 7am. I'll be pitching TCT One (as in Thunderbird One), buying milk, brewing tea, putting some ice packs in the camp site freezer, then setting off to see my new bike that's been living at Mike's house the last few weeks.

Anyone else arriving early?

This post concerns Day 1 only.
On Day 1 there will be 2 meeting points: We will start at 10am from Poole Quay. There is a cafe under the Customs House. We will congregate there. We will pass through Upton Country Park http://www.uptoncountrypark.org/ at 10.30am. Those of you who are only riding Day 1 and wish to park free, I suggest you meet us there at the bottom (dirt) car park near the main gate. Let Graham know if you are starting from there so we can wait for you if necessary. Below are routes to the Quay from the Camp Site and direct to Upton Country park if you are running late.
