Zeebrugge to Berlin route

I have been asked to organise a cycle ride from Zeebrugge to Berlin in June 2013 having just finished the JOGLE for the umpteenth time, I am however struggling re the route, roads and hills etc and wonder if any member could assist.
I am also after hostel details on the route and also which maps to use to assist re the route.
Their will be arou d 12 cyclists the majority in their 50's so a fairly comfortable route is require, we will be doing the ride over two weeks, thanks Garry

Euro Velo Route R1 might be a good start.

There is a guidebook with maps for the German part.

I have done Amsterdam to Berlin in about 10 days.
