Snow report
Re: Snow report
A few flakes here today. For about 30 seconds...
A shortcut has to be a challenge, otherwise it would just be the way. No situation is so dire that panic cannot make it worse.

Well a good dump of snow here last night. Trans-pennine routes blocked and no clubrun. Only good news is we can't go shopping !

Some kind-hearted northerner has, indeed, taken it back. Phew.

I was about to say it's trying to snow here, but it's turned out to be just a token effort.

Re: Snow report
Snow fell yesterday afternoon over N-York moors. We drove to Malton via Whitby in sunshine. Our return at 5pm was prevented as the road was closed due to the snow fall.
We re routed via Hutton le Hole to Caslteon road up over Blakey Ridge. We only just made it through the snow with some dodgy moments en route. The conditions weren't helped by thick fog.

Its been snowing here all day in Somerset - but down here at sea level it's not settling. I have heard reports that 5 cm's have fallen over the Quantock hills just a few miles away. Brrrrrr its wet, cold and misearable so i have retired to the lounge and put my feet up
At the last count:- Peugeot 531 pro, Dawes Discovery Tandem, Dawes Kingpin X3, Raleigh 20 stowaway X2, 1965 Moulton deluxe, Falcon K2 MTB dropped bar tourer, Rudge Bi frame folder, Longstaff trike conversion on a Giant XTC 840

Snowing here and sticking!
Not often I can say that and normally when I can say so, the rest of you cant reach your front gates!
What a funny winter if the only place that has snow settling is temperate West Wales.
