Lightweight/fold-away sleeping mat

Anybody have an ideas for a lightweight/foldaway sleeping mat. Preferably something that can be stored away in a stuff sack...

Yeah, you don't get much cushioning but the idea is to reflect heat back at you. It's ultralight and will pack just about anywhere. backpackinglight.co.uk have a range of lightweight inflatable mats but expect to pay £60+

It depends on your budget - I use one of These which are very light and very comfortable, but of course expensive depending on the use it may get?

+1, I have the women's version and I love it. And I'm a pretty fussy/uncomfortable/cold sleeper!

Packs away folded in half lengthways so it'll fit inside a pannier. What a pity they don't make a valve adapter so you can inflate it with a bike pump though - are there any mats which have that feature?

My camping mate swears by a Thermarest Neoair.

The Prolite is good and we have two- tough and compact and with the optional chair kit, makes a handy campsite seat for tired backs. Exped.com do many mats and my current favourite is the Synmat 7 pump - a little heavier and bulkier but about 3x the thickness of the prolite which suits my older bones now There are other mats in the Exped range with many of them thicker than the prolite - useful if like me you prefer a bit of extra cushioning.

I used to use a thermarest of the self-inflating variety, precursor to the prolite, but now prefer my my POE ether elite 6, which is lighter by 170g at ~400g, not too dear (about £50 iirc) and comfier for me - the tubes are 2.5" thick. Nice orange colour. I think it might be better than the dearer neoair in that the tubes run longways (holding me in place) although the neoair does pack smaller, as you'll see in the shop.

If you buy a tiny tent, you might prefer a thinner mat, for headroom reasons.

I use the Thermarest Pro lite 4 and am very happy with it, but on a thread a while back someone recommended a mat from Halfords and said it performed brilliantly and was I think bought for less than twenty quid. Might be worth looking at.

bubble-wrap, ladies may prefer double thickness, works well enough and is very light and as long as you like for a tall person.
