H. Lloyd Cycles, Anyone Know What Happened?

Post by Robbied196 »

It seems that H. Lloyd Cycles who probably has the most extensive range of reproduction vintage decals is no more :(

The website has been deleted so if he's packed up its a bit of a disaster all round. Although I would have thought it was a good viable business to sell on.

Anyone any ideas as to whats happened?

This was a one man band operated from a room in his converted barn in a village near Shap in Cumbria. I haven't seen him for a while so maybe he's had enough. It was a very specialised business and "one off" decals cost a lot to produce. Not sure it would make a full time business venture given the equipment and talent needed to manufacture the transfers etc.

Had the same experience when I went on the website. I've since found out he's been on holiday the last couple of weeks and gets back on 8 October. So hopefully its just a temp problem with his website, and he'll be back doing business when back from his hols.
