Ruff Stuff Bicycle

Post by meauxtown »

Sometime in the early 1950's possibly 1953, Jack Taylor Cycles built a Ruff Stuff type bicycle for a man named Leeson. He was a photographer in the Yorkshire area, and needed a cycle that could go off road carrying his camera equipment. I'm seeking photos of this cycle to add to my Jack Taylor photo page. If anyone knows of this Gent or how I could get in touch with he or his family. I would be very thankful.
All the best,

The Ruff Stuff I'm looking for looks like this one built in 1979: http://www.flickr.com/photos/77646587@N ... 3660374680

In a post at the retrobike forum, this illustration here popped up: Image, according to the site its a "Ur MTB" called a woodsie from around the time frame you`re asking about.

Dont know anymore about it, but thought I should share. :)
Best regards
