I don't think you will have any problem with the fit of the bearings into the BB.
If they fit ok then i would use grease and when the bearing in the frame is fitted,i would fill the BB shell from the other side with grease,and i mean FILL.i would rather have a mass of grease in there than water!
Then you can fit your axle into place and it will be lubed as it pushes into the bearing,excess grease will be pushed out very messy.
Won`t that grease find the easiest route-up the seat and down tube,rather than into the opposite bearing?
I think i would go for decent`waterproof`grease pressed into the bearings themselves,and a drain hole drilled into the lowest point of the BB shell IF water ingress is an issue.
A good time to Waxoyl the frame eh?
Relief ALL round at getting that bolt end out me thinks.
