At risk of being elevated in status from peasant to pedant, you can't go to the Rocky Horror Picture Show unless you watch it on your friend's TV, or a cinema is reshowing it.

The thing that annoys me is that people infer you are small-minded because you have not travelled. On the contrary, I see it as an indicator of contentment. Take the similar situation of a child who constantly needs to be supplied with new toys, or be taken to theme parks to have fun. What do people think of the child?

I noticed the owned bit, and thinking about it, more people are probably like this than they realise- AFAIAA we don't own our passports, and quite possibly this may be the case with driving licences also. And work ID often too, I imagine.

Which is hardly a rare occurrence. I'd guess it's likely on somewhere pretty much all the time. And on stage, albeit local/rep rather than West End/Broadway.

As for me...

I've never broken a bone.
I've never lost a stone.
I've never played a trombone.

Before you ask, I'm 70.

I don't consider not travelling as being small-minded, travel is not for everyone. It's just that in the UK it's so easy! You can day trip to another country with ease. Hell where I grew up you can catch a four hour flight and still be in the same damn country (and it'll look the same too) so being so close to so many other countries and cultures still gives me a buzz.

If finances allowed it I would pack my bike and bag tomorrow and never stop seeing the world...

But back on topic:

- I've never been to South America or Antarctica
- I've never jumped out of a plane
- I've never watched any of the Lord of the Rings movies
- I've never eaten a Penguin

I've never had a Hack Bike.

I'm off to Derriford Hospital this morning for an appointment, and parking is horrendous. I can park at the Park and Ride and get a bus to the hospital, but it takes a while and costs nearly as much as an hours parking.

You can park for free at the Park and Ride (only pay for the bus), so I'm taking a bike in the car to pedal the couple of miles from there and back again later.

Trouble is, which bike do I use that I don't expect anyone will want to steal?

I did that once, though not with a cycle. After about 18 months I was so bored with the whole thing that I packed up and settled down. Good to get it out of your system though.

I took the RSW16 and no-one stole it.

Why not?
It's a great bike and very "desirable" ............ but obviously not to Janners.

Saw the original stage tour in the 70's with Tim Curry went right over my head at the time. SInce been to several showings of the film. Its a great experience. Back in the 70s it was quite ground breaking.
