I would get one, but I don't really need it at the moment.

I'd like to get a couple of Ketts to trail behind the trike, maybe a full sized one for the missus, and two mini versions for the kids, That would be a seriously long vehicle - and would warrant "long vehicle" signs, as well as a "cyclists on tow" sign to make it clear that you can't overtake half of us...

Skoda Octavia Estate TDI - runs on fresh air swallows bikes whole no need to remove the wheels. We have had three in it. And of course they provide most of the cars for the continental race teams and race management. What's not to like - as they say!!

It's the closest car I ever had to a bicycle. I had a couple of them and the best cars I ever owned, apart from my Renault 4s .

We have a Citroen C3 Pluriel. Which is a modern-day 2CV, pretty much, and you can easily get bikes in the back. The roof rack is an utter PITA though...

We have the older Berlingo but I don't find it that easy: you can stack six bikes across but the lack of length means that the wheels must be turned or the bikes laid a bit flat, so reducing capacity. Our bikes go on an external tow bar rack, the best solution IMV (apart from of course leaving the car at home ).

We have a 1.6Tdi, it's a '11 plate', SE trim level
55 MPG, just 'pottering about' - let alone constant speed driving
£30 VED
Sub £250 Fully Comprehensive insurance (in my name, business cover for SWMBO, & the in-laws also on the policy)


Only issue with it, in 2 years & almost 50,000 miles is the tyre-wear - it required new front ones at 31,000 miles!!!! (15" tyres aren't that common nowadays either)
