10,000 miles in a year finally

Post by NUKe »

I have been trying to do 10,000 miles in year for the last 4, And have been twarted by weather, injury and work but this year I have managed it. Finally passed the 10,000 mile mark for the year this morning :D :D :D

Congratulations.

I would have to smash my computer before even considering that much time in the saddle.
Then put the kids up for adoption.

Well done Nuke :)
I got within a 1000miles of it a couple of years back and was thwarted by illness and injury  ,since then I've not managed to get much over 7500miles :? for various reasons.

Wow!
Today is Day 356.

Very impressive to say the least.
10,000miles in 356 days is 28.09miles a day average.
That's 28miles every day seven days a week.

If you were like me and only rode (say) three days a week, it would mean 65miles every time I went out.

Well Done :)

I don't think I've ever had more about 5000 or 6000 miles in a year. Maybe when I was a teenager, but I never kept track, then.

If I added my cycling miles to my driving miles, I don't know if I'd get over 10000.

Enjoy the sense of accomplishment :D

I'm about there I reckon, slightly more.

4,000odd on the bike, 6,000odd in the car.

10,000 miles on a bike = respect. :D

Indeed if necessary a couple of extra long rides will be added in somewhere......

dont want to be a kill joy but a very strange matter? are you really sure you did 10,000 miles? maybe you didnt set up your cycle computer properly? I suppose some where you have to put in the wheel diameter? maybe your 10,000 miles is 10,000 mini miles? :?
