TOP GEAR- Sunday- gotta watch this one!

Post by Dick Dastardly »

BECAUSE...... our motor mouthed chum Jezza has a challenge on....

"Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May pit a mountain bike and a car against each other in a race through the streets of Lisbon"
(stumbled upon it in AOL tv guide...)

Well, I'm sure to watch this impartial and objective scientific study even though I'm sure I have had a vision of the outcome...
But will the car be restricted to speed limits? (and are there any in Portugal?), likewise can anyone bike on the pavements? Probably no to both and a few peasants on donkeys will surely die while this 80's throwback oaf tries to prove that a Ferrari is better suited to commuting....what a big bell-end of a kn*b nosher the lot of them are...peanut headed Hammond is almost as bad as Clarkson!

Forgive me for just going over that for a moment!

I will not watch anything with Clarkson in.
The other two are almost as bad.
I've written to the BBC and stated as much.
Perhaps everyone should do the same.

They sent downhill mountain biker Gee Atherton down the Lisbon downhill course, which goes down sections of step etc. and sending a Peugeot rally car along roads for a similar distance.

I used to enjoy Top Gear as a sort of guilty pleasure, but that was before I read about Clarkson's stupid comments. We've not got a TV anyway now we've moved house, so I may never know who wins. To be fair to them, they did admit that a marathon runner could get through central London faster than Clarkson in some soft roader.

These days I wonder about things and then I search on google.

I have got the Fx7700GH Casio calculator which I never got my head round before but with all the small programmes I have done , it's a doodle.

gar,

With the internet now there is no need for original thought it's much easier to predate on other peoples creations.

Have you got an XML/MathML program or any math program for that matter?

Amaya is a good one which is most interesting.

What I cannot find is a freely available program
to do on the pc what I can do on this little calculator toy.

I should like to draw the inequality -2
of "y is greater than x to the power of 2 minus 5 times x minus 5" (written out in very long hand)

You say nothing original but to stretch the grey cells, there is the universe to unfold!

True the humanities are read, written and rid of.... but the intellectually stimulating sciences are still only at their beginning, and the computer is there to help in that stimulation!

Corny Male Jerks ought to have a subject heading of its own.
