Tapatalk requests tiresome
As you might know tapatalk have made some new updates that have made the app so awful that has made is unusable.
So first I would ask if CTC can remove themselves from tapatalk.
Why you ask?
Well because I am trying to access the CTC forum directly via the Safari browser on my iPad and iPhone.
Each time I press and button to access the CTC forum or view a topic ect I get a pop up asking me to access the CTC forum via tapatalk.
This popup comes up 4 !!!!! TIMEs every time. It's an ABSOLUTE pain!!!! Tapatalk was bad enough but trying to access
The CRC forum directly is being ruined by these tapatalk Pop ups.
Can the forum administrator please do something about this. Thanks

I access the forum via Safari on my iPad.
I get a request for Tapatalk once, and I say NO.
From then on, Tapatalk never raises its head again.
Sounds to me, that you're not allowing cookies, so Tapatalk doesn't recognise your preferences.

Re: Tapatalk requests tiresome
Refusing as Mick suggests does result in continued requests on my Iphone. A pain and I do have cookies enabled.
However a solution is as follows.
Click to allow Tapatalk but when you get redirected to the App store for the Tapatalk App close the App store again immeadiately. This (I think) puts a cookie onto your phone that in some way allows access but does not install Tapatalk. You can then browse the forum using Safari normally without continuous requsets to install. It works and is great.
If you delete "all cookies and data" in Safari settings at anytime you need to repeat the process.

Re: Tapatalk requests tiresome
I use Tapatalk without a problem.
I used to frequent YACF on tapatalk but since they have not used Tap I would guess I've visited them on the web site no more than four times. Just too cumbersome when using iPad or iPhone.

Absolutely agree with the OP. It's an absolute nightmare, I long time ago gave up and don't access the forum via my iPhone due to TapTalk requests. Enabling cookies, well, maybe it would work, but then I disabled them for a reason!
Would be terrific to see TapSpam gone.

Re: Tapatalk requests tiresome
Took a while to get used to the new Tapatalk but now I have I prefer it over the old one.
I much prefer accessing the forum on Tapatalk, I don't bother using forums that don't have Tapatalk support.

Why does it work with my iPad when it doesn't with your iPhone?
Same IOS software.

On my iPad now.
As soon as I went to the forum, I got a big blue screen advertising Tapatalk and I tapped the big white cross top right. The advert went, and I logged on.

PS
Just logged out, quit safari, and logged in again.
No Tapatalk advert at all.

Re: Tapatalk requests tiresome
Well I used to get exactly the same "symptoms" as the OP and a right royal pain it was too.
I discovered my simple solution by chance and it works really really well.
I get no blue "Get Tapatalk" window on start up or at anytime when browsing the forum. I browse the forum just as on the desktop site.
Only thing I can think off is that I have third party cookies disabled and intend to keep it that way. But I am no computer expert.

Re: Tapatalk requests tiresome
Has it anything to do with having pop ups disabled/enabled in Safari?

Good question, so I went to settings/safari and unchecked "block pop ups"and tried again.
Still no Tapatalk advert.
It seems to only time I get it, is if I delete history and cookies, and then it arrives only the once. Once I've hit the big cross top right, it goes completely.

This worked for me as well.
There is a special corner of hell reserved for whiny nagware like Tapatalk.
