I've done the Exmouth Exodus (which is a 100 mile night ride) and found that having people to chat to really helps.

I watched a programme about a 1300km audax in Scotland, abs one guy was saying he had a micro nap at 30mph down a hill, woke up wondering where his glass of water was!

I'm thinking of break the ride into quarters so power naps should be possible

i'd say sleep right up to when you set off. Stop after 11hrs get a 4hr kip. get woken up by "the bread knife" then carry on. avg speed 12mph. more than doable.

Hi,
Will it be OK if the chain drops between the large rear cog and the spokes :?:

I think I have the rear derailleur set so it shouldn’t go that far over (it hasn't yet). If however it decides to it might be ride over.
