:D

Having been out practicing on my new raptobike I can share in the excitement.

She looks nice!
A shortcut has to be a challenge, otherwise it would just be the way. No situation is so dire that panic cannot make it worse.

Just spotted the SON hub dynamo. An excellent choice but worth a word of warning. Try and avoid getting it submerged in water. I am just about to send mine off for a full service as the bearings are beginning to rock. I suspect it is the result of playing submarines over the last couple of winters.

It didn't make it too me in time for the bank holiday, I think this is the first time I've been eager for bank holidays to end!

Arrived! :D Only managed 30cm on it with one foot on the pedals before promptly falling over onto that side.

Been there, done that (except it was about 3m in my case): it gets better

Find a hill, go scooting for a while ;)

That's what has got me onto the raptobike - nice and easy, exactly how we try to teach kids...

I can ride it! Just uploading a vid to youtube, but all it took was picking a lower gear and getting my second foot up.

I can't turn very well or hold a straight line, but at least I'm now confident I can stop and start.

I also found filling two banana bags with all the bubble wrap it came in helps, now I don't need to worry about harming the bike :P
