Exhibition too expensive?
Exhibition too expensive?
I've just received news about this forthcoming exhibit at the Design Museum near London Bridge:

Entrance to the exhibition is £13 I think this is way too much. I recently visited "Velorama" the Dutch national cycling museum in Nijmegen, entrance was just E5 which I thought was reasonable. They even have a Starley "Rover" safety bicycle!!!

Re: Exhibition too expensive?
Picked up a leaflet at the local railway station yesterday. It contains an offer for half price entry to various "attractions" in London. My wife has never been in St Paul's Cathedral and would really like to go but normal entry is £18! I think even that for two is OTT.
I also picked up a leaflet for London bus tours as we have the grandchildren for half term and thought they might like to see some of the sights but a family ticket is £73. I think Shank's pony will be our mode of transport.

He was pointing out the failure of the education system (along with other things), so his lack of variety in his choice of adjectives was there to help demonstrate his point.

A healthy discount for tax paying born-and -bred Londoners! Then I woke up, it was a nice dream though

that would be racist. Charging extra to foreigners, especially northeners.
Cabbies would never dream of such a thing of course guv

Museums in London - I expect free entry to the vast majority of exhibits.
A shortcut has to be a challenge, otherwise it would just be the way. No situation is so dire that panic cannot make it worse.

Go to a service - they're free, and you can wander around afterwards. I see Choral Evensong tomorrow is Howells' wonderful Collegium Regale service...

In UK law 'race' includes nationality http://www.legislation.gov.uk/ukpga/2010/15/section/9

Back to the original point. A lot of tourist attractions are priced for you to have a 2 for 1 offer. This way you seem to be getting a bargain but in reality you aren't. That's my perception anyway!
