Standardisation?

For want of a better place to post this I putting it under this heading.

Those of us who use computers (desk or laptop) will be aware of how lacking in flexibility Microsoft software is. Works and Office do not like each others files. Different versions of the same software are incompatible.

The best software to be flexible and compatible is "Open Office" and its FREE!
It also has a "save in .pdf" facility which will allow the original document to be printed as it was laid out originally, not only that, but you can print it at A3, A4 or A5 as you wish. It is also up to date with the latest open document strategy.
