Don't shave your legs and the become very effective - they basically just stop windchill by locking air in your hair. Sam as a string vest - useless until you put a shirt over the top...
A shortcut has to be a challenge, otherwise it would just be the way.No situation is so dire that panic cannot make it worse. There are two kinds of people in this world: those can extrapolate from incomplete data.
I have Reynauds and i have been using legwarmers + armwarmers all month , coming home on night shift the other day it was 4 degrees and i had a base layer, gilet , toe covers and full finger gloves and my hands were white . I have been known to wear thin full finger gloves mid summer unless its about 20 degrees as windchill can set my hands off .Midwinter the MTB has poggies or i use lobster gloves.

I understood that British Cycling coaches advise people that shorts are not permitted until the temperature is 18C or above.
In our climate that would rule them out for most of the year! Years ago I was happy in shorts down to 8C, but used to tear around everywhere so kept warm. Nowadays it seems I need a higher temp, went out yesterday morning and it was 12C but I was happy I had my tights on.
