Favourite home cooked recipés

I have been the principal home cook for some time now and I like to try new things. I found this
http://www.bbcgoodfood.com/recipes/7646 ... otato-mash when I had some chicken and sweet potatoes and no idea what to cook. Its become a firm home cooked favourite. We often change the spiced coating to vary it but it works particularly well with Ras el Hanout (Tesco).
If you have a favourite unusual dish please share it.

Ignore Nigella (as best one can) and make the best chicken curry recipe I've ever eaten, courtesy of Madhur Jaffrey. Been making it for close on 30 years now, and still love it

Would it be forward of me to suggest a pinned recipes thread on this forum (as I - ahem - initiated during my brief sojourn on
YACF)? Where we can swap our favourites. I have plenty of dishes up my sleeve.
