With all the mild weather I've not felt the need to wear longs for months but this week I pulled a pair of dhb waist tights. Though they were XXL and I've quite thick legs, they were tight. My right leg is thicker than my left after 60 years of preferential peddling but after my 60 miles ride there was linear bruising from mid shin to above my knees. The bruise matched where stitching goes up the legging. Nothing similar on my left leg.
For my Coronary heart disease I take a statin 40mg Atorvastatin and 90mg anti-platelet Ticogrelor, and 5mg Amlodopine. I used to bruise easily before from the side effects of one or more of those but only with impacts such as fooling around with the grandkids.
I've tried bib longs but they always cut me in half. Can anyone recommend non-bib longs that don't have pronounced rib / stitching on the inside or that can accommodate those of us with treetrunk legs?
Bruising from longs
Re: Bruising from longs
Aero tech in the US make tights up to 4xl and beyond. Proper US sizes. If you want a winter pair rose bike sell Gonso which are fantastic quality (I have them) but dear - around the 100 quid mark
Re: Bruising from longs
Ps the gonsos are bib longs. But they're German so they're long both in body and leg. They have a great pad!

Get some climbing tights, very warm seamless and water seems to be repelled. Mountain Equipment tights are good. Can sometimes be found in Cotswold where CTC members get 15% discount.
